I am the School Psychologist at the school. While many of our students are demonstrating resilience, others are struggling with anxiety, depression, empathy, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. They fail to recognize emotions or appropriate conflict resolution strategies, and need significant guidance in these areas. There are many interactive iPad apps available for students designed to be engaging for them, and that are in a format with which this generation is particularly familiar and comfortable interacting. My project would make use of these apps during counseling sessions as an effective means of teaching and reinforcing new skills and strategies with our highest needs students.
