COVID has changed education drastically especially with the rise of learning on various digital platforms. Now, for the most part, students are back to school, but access to curriculum has not gone back to pre COVID times. In today's classroom students are being asked to use paper/pencil and technology all at the same time. They are being asked to show their work and submit their work through various platforms and it is very confusing for students with special needs. By providing students with an iPad students will be able to avoid all of these problems and focus on increasing their learning through one platform. Take math for example, generally, math is a hands-on, face to face process. Students do not like to take math tests on the computer because there is no way to show their work. Yes, they could take out a piece of paper to show their work, but then they are required to upload that evidence sheet to the online assignment to get credit. Many students find this to be to tedious, so they end up trying to do the math in their heads. By providing an iPad for students, teachers can assess students using screen casting on the iPad to provide a multi-sensory approach for capturing student understanding and making their thinking visible. Students can plan out their responses with a script and example drawings in Notes. They then can capture their metacognition by pressing record and explaining their thinking verbally while using the interactive whiteboard to add words, numbers, illustrations, and more. Teachers can use the recording to document growth for measurable goals, help inform future instruction, and communicate progress with families and other service providers." - Learning with iPad CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.6.EE.B.7,
