In my kindergarten classroom I currently do not have any materials reflecting the students diverse cultures. A class set of the multicultural books will be a important addition to my classroom. The students will be excited to see characters that reflect themselves within the stories. The unit on community helpers will be more engaging when students will be able to interact with the dolls. The addition of the multicultural food in our classroom kitchen area will provide an opportunity for students to speak about dinners they have with their families.
