By having a color printer in the classroom students will be able to publish their final writing pieces and create projects to share with others. I am planning on having a place where student's published works of writing and stories will be so everyone in the class can read and reread them! This will help me teach second grade writing standard W.2.6 With guidance and support from adults, use a variety of digital tools to produce and publish writing, including in collaboration with peers. With this color printer, my students will be able to create a portfolio of their projects and stories from this year, to keep as a reminder of all the amazing things they did and learned in second grade! Lastly, this color printer will help facilitate the following standard. SL.2.4-Tell a story or recount an experience with appropriate facts and relevant, descriptive details, speaking audibly in coherent sentences. I plan on having my students create books with color pictures that they can read to our first grade and kindergarten classes!
