The students at Elizabeth Lenz Elementary need laptops to access district purchased programs to support their learning. It is clear during this time with COVID that the lack of technology our school has, has impacted student learning and their ability to access district approved apps and websites. It is also evident that more instruction in using laptops is vital for their success. Laptops in the classroom would ensure access to a device in which they could further develop their computer knowledge and problem solving skills. Many schools in our district have 1:1 technology making this a much easier task. Having a solid foundation in computer knowledge will help these students achieve success in future grades where computers and digital assignments are required.
