These are books that will promote a love for literature and a positive attitude towards reading. Book clubs give students a shared reading experience where the students are the facilitators. These texts will promote students thinking as they process and express perspectives and opinions. It will also expand a student’s ability to express ideas orally using academic language and vocabulary. Establishing good reading habits is critical in developing life long learners and lovers of literature.
