The items listed will make a difference to my students because it will provide hands-on learning opportunities like a surgical room transformation, ELA small group items and task cards for learning stations.In addition, the items will help me organize and present the materials in a way that students find engaging. My class is primarily ELL, with 17/25 being English Language Learners. They require active authentic instruction with lots of graphics in a literacy-rich environment to learn Nevada Academic content standards in a way that motivates learners to be successful and helps to fill in the gaps of instruction caused by the pandemic. This is achieved by the use of items such as a color printer to make task cards, storage containers to store items (like the said task cards I intend to make) by common core standards. Desk organizers for student groups so they can easily have access to items such as markers, glue sticks, post it notes for interactive anchor charts and scissors, and Alexa Dot so I can play soothing music as students work. Additionally, the use of a wax melt will help ignite student sensory integration with the ability to infuse the air with calming focusing essential oils. Pocket charts and teacher guide books organized by content area will also help myself fill in the gaps of learning caused by the pandemic. Specific standards that will be addressed are : RL 5.1-9, RI 5.1-9, NBT 5.1-7, AO 5.1-2, NF 5.1-7, MD5.1-3. and W5.1-5
