These materials will be used to help students in many ways. The classroom items, like the printer and extension cord, will allow for a broader spectrum of projects to be explored. Flexible seating and lighting has been known to increase student engagement and investment in the classroom. Whisper phones are going to be used to practice reading fluency in the classroom. Sticky notes, the storage carts, and pencils will be used to keep students organized. The microphone will help me, the educator, project my voice more efficiently for students. The books will be used to engage students in reading and help them to understand that there are countless stories out there waiting to be told- including their own. These items will provide me the opportunities to cultivate intrinsic motivation for my students. The goal is to make students feel excited and comfortable while learning!
