The books I am requesting will help my students master their reading skills. I’ve asked for some class sets of books so my students can enjoy reading books together. I feel it is extremely important for the kids to learn and experience reading as a class. We have no class sets of books to read together. We need to become a community of learners and there is no better way to do that than to share the joy and experience of reading together. Many of my students are struggling to reach grade-level reading skills. Having books that the kids can read in groups and independently is vital at this stage in their development.
