My students are hard workers and persevere each and every day. They work in literacy and math centers each day without the use of headphones. The volume must be turned down so it's not too distracting for others. Even though they try, this is not an ideal learning environment. Having headphones will cut out the noise and help my students concentrate. Having individual supplies is now the new norm so it is imperative that my students each have their own set of headphones so they aren't sharing materials. Technology has become the fabric of our classroom. The laptop will be used for both in-person and students who are home due to exclusion. Having this additional laptop will help my students feel like they are apart of our class even when they are home. So much instruction is lost when students are sent home so this is a way for them to still be 'at school'. This will also be helpful for projecting student projects through our projector as we currently have a very outdated desktop that can't hold very much memory anymore and is slow when students are working on it. Having a new laptop for our class and headphones for each student will help to add the missing pieces to our classrooms technology puzzle.
