Through these books I hope to instill a love of reading and help nurture my students' belief in themselves and others. In my class, the students love to come to the carpet to hear a story or share what they have read. I feel that expanding our class library will help the students find material that they can relate to and will also allow them to better understand their classmates and the world. My hope is that by giving students the opportunity to read stories in print about so many of the topics that we are facing in the world today, it may make it more of a reality rather than just something else that they see on a screen.

About my class
