These resources will help students achieve their goals in their ELA standards for reading, writing, and discussions in my class. SL4.1 standard requires students to effectively engage in collaborative discussions and these social-emotional supplies will build upon the needed social skills they are missing from COVID-related learning setbacks. Students can utilize these discussion cubes to practice restating questions, to agree or disagree with opinions, and collaborate together to respond to questions.
My students enjoy every moment they have writing; therefore, these materials will support their writing to be clear and organized. W.4.4 standard lists how students should be able to write clearly and be organized appropriately to the task. Materials in this project will serve as great manipulatives to teach students much needed words from COVID setbacks in their learning. Social emotional prompt cards can also allow students to practice writing topics based on relevant scenarios in their everyday lives.
