Flexible seating during small groups allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. Currently, my students are choosing to work in a variety of locations in our room such as: at different tables, sitting under tables with clipboards, or sitting or laying on the floor with a clipboard. Shelving and bins are needed in our classroom for organization of group work and materials. My elementary school students need items that they are excited to earn and use, such as the fidgets and pop it’s, each week! Students are also enjoying the cooler air now and enjoy playing ball outside with their classmates. Help me motivate my students! We are excited to finally have the opportunity to attend school in person this year! However, some of the behavior issues we have experienced this year due to our past distance education time and extended time away from school classrooms have pushed us to seek ways to promote a schoolwide positive reinforcement system.
