I would like to purchase items to create a comfortable area in my classroom where students can go to calm down when emotions are making it difficult to learn and focus. I would also like to purchase items to help my students who are autistic and struggle with anxiety. This project will provide my students with a designated area and the tools necessary to regulate their emotions. From books to supplies these items will help foster my students' social and emotional development for years to come. The chosen items will also foster a more hands-on approach in learning math, science, and reading within the classroom. The items purchased will help foster students' growth in mathematics, writing, spelling, and reading. From counters to building with magnets to building and writing words these items will foster their learning.
