My students tend to have a lot of trouble with fractions/decimals (7NS.A.1), and applying their understanding of math concepts to other parts of life (7NS.A.3). I am hoping to use these materials to help build community by making the topics they struggle most with more fun and engaging for them, and show them how relevant math can be. I want to keep them going with understanding the importance of math so that their opportunities in the future can remain wide open. Middle school can be a turning point in their lives, and it's essential that I continue building their skills in math and in cooperation and community care with each other.

About my class
