PE Safety 2.2.3 Physical activity is an important part of the day for our kindergarteners. Currently, we have limited equipment in the kinder yard for students to play with. Because of this, students play games such as tag and hide and seek. While these games are fun, they can be dangerous as students run around and chase each other on the hard blacktop. The yard equipment I am requesting will allow students to be physically active, have fun, and stay safe. The playground equipment I am requesting will also foster sportsmanship, social skills, and creativity as students learn the proper and safe way to use the equipment and play together. Choice gives ownership to students, and with the variety of play equipment, students will be able to choose the equipment they want to use. This will eliminate the issue of many students wanting to use one item at the same time. Students will be able to choose a team activity, partner, or individual play. Thank you for helping me keep our students safe as they engage in physical activity and have fun.
