Getting this iPad gives my kids a chance to experience a variety of ways to improve their social emotional skills by being able to use the procreate app on this iPad! The procreate app works optimally on this iPad and creates a visual experience like no other- something that will help the kids also stay engaged! For example, students can illustrate a self-portrait and reflect on the elements of self that make up their identity. Then, employing Social Emotional Learning principles, students work with their classmates to find common ground and create a collaborative artwork that celebrates their similarities and differences. The way to do this on the iPad is engaging and gives them the opportunity to learn patience, as well as give them a chance to experience a device and different media's of art they might never have had the chance to touch otherwise.
