These resources will give the students more reading options, promote independent reading, and give incentives to work on reading and graduating within the AR program. After nearly two years of not being in the classroom these students have had no experience with reading and finding books that would best suite them. I plan on growing the classroom library to help students have a choice of books they like and also give them a fun reading area to go to in the classroom to enhance that love for reading. These items contribute to the following standards: RL.1.3, RL.1.5, RL.1.7, RL.1.9, RI.1.5, RI.1.10, RL.1.10
