Every student at WMS is encouraged to read daily, but unfortunately very few of our English Language Learners have access to books in their home language. I would like to expand our school library’s extremely limited, dated Spanish section to include high-interest, up-to-date titles, and additionally create a World Language Section. This section would include fiction and nonfiction books that reflect our ELL population, with selections in Arabic, Swahili, Somali, Kinyarwanda, Karen, and French. This section of the library would be updated on a yearly basis, and will be ever-changing to reflect our student’s needs.
