Students who read and build a love of reading build language skills that are deeper and long-lasting. We want students to read more for enjoyment! This makes students increase their implicit language skills and knowledge without even realizing they are learning! Helping students begin to learn that reading is fun is the perfect way to build better readers. A variety of topics and styles of books will get even the most reluctant readers with a book in hand! Struggling readers will often give up without even trying. If there is a book that prompts a student to want to investigate and read more, then I know I've done a good job!
