Constructing and programming a physical robot comes with many challenges. Troubleshooting and modifying the physical robot to perform specific tasks requires many hand tools. Fortunately we have many robotic components from Vex Robotics but are lacking many of the necessary tools to make modifications. Having these tools will help my classroom continue evolving into a "production" environment. We also modify parts using Autodesk Inventor Pro (3D AutoCAD) then print them on our Makerbot Replicator 3D printers. The build plates and other parts must be replaced periodically to ensure that they function properly.
