Students can read and create visual boards to tell the story using markers and pens to crate a reflection piece of the story. Reading in person will help my students be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read in a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their own grade level. I do a unit on social justice and since my kids are incarcerated it really helps iron out and it's relatable material for my students. Drawing and illustration to tell a story, their story helps students feel heard and seen just like their typical peers do.
