I have selected books that will reach a multitude of NVACS 2nd grade standards, including all emotional and social health topics in 2nd grade. These will help students to be leaders in the classroom and for the rest of their lives. The fiction books will help with RL 1-10 standards. They are engaging, on-level, and will spark their imaginations. The buzzers will be used to test their reading knowledge in a game format. Another item to spark their imaginations and engineering abilities are the magnetic blocks. They will add to the STEM activities and meet the standards in science as well as math. The laminating sheets and sheet protectors will be used with the STEM activities so they may be used repeatedly. After lost school time due to Covid-19, many students are struggling with being in class most of the day. The wobble chairs and fidget items will help to meet the needs of all students so they may keep all their attention on learning. I also am in need of exercise ball chair stands to add to my flexible seating. Finally, the Brain Quest Workbooks will be used with specific students that are in need of reteaching or enrichment. They will also be sent home! I can't wait to ignite learning and enjoy the ride!
