Our students have challenges beyond the classroom which prevent them from giving their full focus and attention to academics. Due to the circumstantial challenges our students face, it is important to ensure they have access to tools to help them deal with their emotions at school. The bullying resources will help our students learn respect and kindness. The CBT, ACT, train your brain, and trauma cards will make space for our students to learn how to cope with difficult experiences. The books and “stop-think-go” game will aid in teaching coping skills and ways to manage anger and aggression in a healthy way. Our efforts are working toward de-stigmatizing mental health in the community and creating a culture of kindness.
