These materials will help my students practice and learn their basic math facts in both fun and engaging ways. Knowing the basic math facts with immediate recall is a fundamental math skill that allows students to progress on to more difficult concepts. Playing math games and having students engage in friendly competition helps promote learning and social development. Students will be able to utilize the flash cards to practice at home with family members and then participate in math games at school. The pop-it fidget toys will serve as a visual representation of multiplication facts, as students can make arrays with them to determine the product of two factors - and these are the hottest toy for elementary school students right now! Use of these materials will address a third grade standard (Math 3.OA.C.7) that many students are behind in due to the Covid-19 pandemic and help them to tackle the fourth grade standards (Math 4.NBT.B.5 & Math 4.NBT.B.6) that involve multiplication and division of larger numbers.
