In my philosophy class, we often collaborate around visual stimulus, but this always has to be a whole group activity because I only have one display station at the front of my classroom. Using the 3 monitors, long HDMI cables, the HDMI splitter, and a casting device (I already have this), I will wire the 3 screens to my main display allowing students to collaborate in stations and interpret visual stimulus more effectively. Recently we compared three pieces of art and asked what each piece of art had to teach us about human nature. Students had to stand up and walk up to the screen to interpret the art effectively. By having stations around the room students can work more effectively to learn. I will use the additional 6' HDMI cables to turn these stations into opportunities for students to display materials and projects to small groups. This will allow the stations to be multifunctional.
