Due to COVID restrictions students have experienced learning loss as well as those opportunities to communicate with students at their learning levels. The integrated STEM kits will provide students the opportunity to converse, explore, enhance learning, and provide opportunities to challenge themselves to find a solution to a problem. These are all areas of concern due to the impact of last year's educational experiences. The material that I have requested for my students will challenge them to problem solve as they develop and use models while communicating with their peers. STEM activities allow students to participate in collaborative conversations with diverse partners about first grade topics. (SL.1.1)
