Since returning to the building I am trying to engage my students as much as possible. In the clay studio that I share with another teacher at my school, we spend a lot of time working on meaningful art projects, getting to know one another better and increase their social skills by encouraging them to work together daily. Right now a lot of time is spent preparing clay for slabs and if we have another slab roller, the kids will have more time at their work tables. The clear glaze will help them make their projects look more finished and professional when they are done. My classroom is a place where kids can be themselves and work together to make beautiful art.

About my class
