Being in a pandemic has effected a lot of different learners, but English Language Learners (ELL) are one of the largest effected by this situation. Having more mangas and graphic novels in the class highlights one of the core skills students need to succeed: comprehension skills. Reading mangas and graphic novels engages students in literature without them knowing that they are learning valuable skills that can help them the rest of their lives. By having a small library in the classroom that has accessible material for all students, we can help build students' reading comprehension and vocabulary skills all while their doing something that they enjoy.
