These books will be used within the classroom, so students can follow along as we read together. Some students check out books to use at home as needed. I do provide an ebook when available, but it really does make all the difference to have the physical book in front of them! They get to see their accomplishment right in front of them when they are done. Most of my students do not read books outside of class, so it is the only time that many of them have ever read a whole book before. These books will be used to analyze in class, specifically looking at word choice, tone, hidden meanings, point of view, comparing to other interpretations in another medium, and for writing.
