These engaging titles will motivate my students to read. By selecting books of high interest, as well as fulfill their social and emotional needs through learning with literature, to help them regain their academic confidence and nurture their abilities through more than a year of pandemic learning. These books will help promote the Nevada Academic Content Standards of Language Arts Reading RL 2.1 Ask and answer such questions as who, what, where, when, why, and how to demonstrate understanding of key details in a text. Due to the pandemic, my students are behind and need engaging books to practice and develop their reading skills. To ensure sanitary conditions additional books are needed in order to rotate and sanitize them on a daily basis.
