Writing is where we will focus this year as most students in my class did not have much teacher support during hybrid/distance learning to help check/revise building sentences. I emphasize being an author and using their creative ideas to help write narratives or expository writing. Standard W.1.6 With guidance and support from adults, use a variety of digital tools to produce and publish writing, including in collaboration with peers. Printing their covers on a color printer and laminating their writing projects will be a detail that will encourage more to participate with more pride. My class already enjoys reading and sharing their writing with one another in our author's chair.
