My students have been at home during distance education for the last year and have had limited opportunities for physical fitness. I will begin teaching two sessions of Physical Conditioning With Weights starting in October 2021. We do have access to a gymnasium. We do not have access to any fitness equipment. I am hoping to acquire fitness equipment through Donors Choose. I will be addressing these standards in my classes: 1.12.1 Demonstrate proficiency in multiple movement forms in physical activities. Manipulative Skills 1.12.2 Perform manipulative skills in combination with locomotor and/or nonlocomotor movements in a variety of environments and under a host of conditions. Motor Skills and Movement Patterns 1.12.3 Execute complex motor skills and various movement patterns within physical activities. Demonstrate Safety 1.12.4 Apply safe practices while participating in physical activities. Content Standard 2.0: Apply knowledge of concepts, principles and strategies related to movement, performance and safety within physical activities. Concepts and Principles 2.12.1 Analyze complex skills in a physical activity setting Strategies 2.12.2 Analyze strategies used in physical activity settings to improve movement skills. Identify Safety 2.12.3 Demonstrate safe practices for self and others while participating in physical activities. Content Standard 3.0 Participate regularly in physical activity.
