A little Zen Mindfulness. The fact that there's a movie [Film & Literature] arouses everyone's interest. (Gives students something to look forward to.) See ELA-LITERACY.RL.11.7, about interpretations. Fight Club really is a modern masterpiece. Fits my favorite standard, ELA-LIT.RI.11.6, about the Rhetoric [Writing] being "particularly effective, analyzing how Style and Content contribute to the power, persuasiveness or beauty of the text."
