Hello and thank you for taking the time to read this! My students have been experiencing a pandemic since they were 3 years old. Most of my students are 5 this year, which is younger than usual. This brings about an unusual challenge for me since students have hardly interacted with letters or phonics at all. They also haven't been at school before, so their attention span is low. This requires some creativity on my part to create fun and engaging activities for students to participate in. My students deserve an individualized learning experience that helps them connect with letters and phonics concepts. I envision them using the Sterilite tubs filled with sand to use their finger to write letters in the sand or using the cookie sheets with shaving cream to practice writing letters. Instead of doing a worksheet, I feel my students would be much more motivated by working with sensory bins or using wiki sticks. I really appreciate you looking at my project and considering a donation. Your thought is so appreciated.
