Many of our students are now immersed in a diverse range of texts, including popular titles like Shot Clock, Frizzy, All That's Left in the World, and The Clackity. These books have sparked a love for reading that is truly contagious. In our library, reading has become a vibrant activity, with students eagerly checking out these titles, often resulting in long hold lists due to their popularity. This excitement has allowed students to engage deeply with the stories, developing critical thinking skills and enhancing their ability to articulate their thoughts through creative projects like book trailers, book soundtracks, and book talks.\r\n\r\nI'm particularly proud of how these new texts have inspired our students to express their understanding of the books in unique ways. They have embraced the opportunity to discuss themes, characters, and their personal reactions to the stories, fostering a sense of community and collaboration among peers. In a few weeks, we will celebrate their hard work with a pizza party in the library, where these talented readers will share their insights and vote for their favorite book in the Evergreen Teen Book Award. Your support has not only enriched our library collection but has also created an environment where students feel empowered to explore literature and share their voices.
