Having a color printer in our classroom will allow me to print colorful picture icons for my students. These picture icons will give my students who are unable to speak with words the opportunity to answer questions about stories that I read to them in class (ELA RI.K.1) by choosing an icon to represent their answer. My students will also be able to use the picture icons to express their wants and needs in order to avoid feelings of frustration and sadness that can come with feeling misunderstood or ignored.

About my class
