These resources will create a student-centered learning model within my kindergarten classroom. The materials requested will allow students to be fully engaged in whole group lessons and also explore lessons taught independently to help determine a level of understanding. Students will have the opportunity to be actively involved in their learning process while they interact and enjoy each and every item requested on a regular basis.
The materials requested will allow me to teach across concepts and standard using different modes of teaching techniques that will benefit all different learning styles and student needs.
Some standards that will be met using the materials requested include:

Identify diverse cultural events, holidays and symbols and where appropriate, identify these celebrations on a calendar.
