Reading is the framework of all things in primary education. As a first year teacher I have been blessed to begin my career in a brand new school building. However, I have not had the opportunity to build a classroom library due to factors resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. With the bookshelves and social-emotional learning books included in this project, I will begin to build a classroom library that will last long into my teaching career and help students succeed for years to come. The classroom library will serve as a place for students to access book with the possibility of students being able to share the books with their families as well who may not be able to access the library as easily as during pre-pandemic times.

About my class
