Something I want to focus on is helping my students become better leaders by using a classroom podium and giving them that platform to be a voice within the classroom. I want to allow them to have their moment and be able to take that role in the classroom by being front and center. In 4th grade, students begin to really find their voice and a classroom podium would help out.
Providing a classroom set of dictionaries/ thesauruses will also provide that leadership I want from my students. By being able to learn new vocabulary as well as make better words within their vocabulary, my students will be looked as leaders. Vocabulary is something that students are lacking and giving them that exposure through the dictionaries would help out immensely.
Lastly, I look to TPT to help me in my strive to make education more fun. I am continuing to find ways to make my students more engaged, and TPT allows me to bring in those fun activities that still align with with the students need. Anything from math to reading to science, TPT has great resources as supplements for my teaching.
