Our students will fulfill their dreams of playing piano, despite income level, transportation limits, and lack of school funding. With these keyboards, students will be able to learn basic piano skills during school and piano club. Oftentimes, the piano is an instrument that students only have the opportunity to learn through private lessons. Our new keyboards will afford each student individual space with their instrument, as per COVID-related learning needs. Students will now have the opportunity to create their own music. The skills and lessons that can be taught using these keyboards are endless. The standards for music education include playing instruments, reading musical notation, and composing music. These keyboards will be used to teach these standards this school year and for many years to come. CCSD Elementary Music standard, Creating: Conceiving and developing new artistic work and ideas, Standard 2: Organize and develop artistic ideas and work.
