The laptop cart will allow us to use existing technology more easily and effectively to write, research, and collaborate. The two sets of books by authors of color, Colson Whitehead (awarded the Pulitzer Prize twice in a row) and Maria Andreu, have already proven to be high interest texts for my diverse students. They will be used for literary analysis, independent and shared reading, and they will drive many productive group and class discussions, contributing to speaking and listening skills, which are so needed and valuable as we recover from the isolation of the pandemic and foster an appreciation for multiculturalism.
