My students have struggled with returning to the structure of school in the classroom after their time distance learning. I create a warm environment for my students through my teaching approach and our routines. However, wiggly second-graders need help channeling their energy into their school work, especially when they are used to the freedom and comfort of seating at home. These flexible seating options would allow my students to move their bodies while staying focused on their learning. All Nevada Academic Content Standards would be supported by the increased student engagement that flexible seating choices would bring.
