Students will be able to observe not only the structure and development of plants but also how marine ecosystems can affect the development of plants. Students will be able to make observations and collect data on the ecosystem and how they are dependent on each other. Students will be able to harvest the crops that will be planted in the ecosystem. We will also learn and observe fish and other marine life as well as taking responsibility for keeping the ecosystem alive and healthy. I would like to purchase aquarium materials needed for aquaponics and hydroponics grow kits and growth mediums that will fit in the classroom. I would also like to purchase grow lights to help facilitate plant growth indoors.
