My students have had a difficult time dealing with the effects of Covid. They have had lots of disruptions in their lives and the uncertainty has caused them a lot of anxiety that shows up in their daily interactions in the classroom. Art is thereputic and part of the content standards like VA:Cr2.K.3 Create art that represents natural and constructed environments. Art helps to relax my students and helps them to focus. The projector we have is old and difficult to see without the lights being out. This makes art projects difficult because it is hard to paint in the dark. With a new projector they will be able to see my modeling and be able to paint at the same time.
