I would like to spruce up my classroom by creating a more inviting group learning space and a reading corner. Currently we do group activities with deflated beanbags and one mat that we borrowed from the gym. Safety is a concern also, the students do not always understand that the cabinets in this area are not to be played with and to keep this area safe all the cabinets need to be locked. I would like to revamp the area and make it more inviting. In addition we have a corner in the room that we are currently using as a calm down/reading corner. It too needs some love! Additionally we need some books that are more specific to the needs and levels of the students in our class.
