Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. My students have been on distance learning for nearly 2 years following COVID lockdowns. Their last normal year of school was in Kindergarten. They are struggling to adjust to in class behaviors as they have never had to use them. Flexible seating options for my students will allow them to be wiggle worms in their seats while still completing their work and learning. My students would benefit greatly from these donations, Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them. The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. The seat cushions will allow for comfortable sitting in their school provided chairs. The pillows will allow for students to read in the comfy reading corner or sit on the floor to finish their work. Balance balls are great for any student who struggles to sit still and will provide support and gross motor skills. I have seen how choice can positively affect my students work and demeanor and hope that the additional options will help us grow even more!
