I am looking to get tools for my students to help in the process of creating sculptures. We only have a couple pairs of pliers and wire cutters in my class. Between the two art teachers at this school we have four sculpture classes. I would like to purchase tools and a tool box for them so they have the right tool for the job. I am planning a wire sculpture for this class where I will need more pliers and wire cutters. We are currently working on plaster masks and learning about how different cultures use their masks and what they look like. It would help a lot to have a drill to be able to drill holes for different things in their masks. Tools are not just used in making art but students will acquire skills while working with their hands that will benefit them forever. Knowing how to use a drill, hammer and saw have helped me out in so many different ways in life. I want to pass this on to my students.
