My project will ensure a rich learning environment conducive to students’ social emotional and academic development by integrating art into Science (4-ESS1-1,2-1, 3-1 & LS1-1) Engineering (ETS 1-1,2,3) Students will also create art projects in order to explore connections between self and literary texts (ELA RL 4.10/RI 4/10). The resources I'm requesting will help my students through more than a year of pandemic learning, it will re-ignite and motivate life-long learning and personal growth. Integrated Art and Science Literacy supports students’ social, emotional, and mental well-being and will mitigate the impacts of interrupted learning as a result of COVID-19. I will further foster the home/school/community connection as we share the projects with families and the community.
