Students with COVID and those who have been exposed are excluded from school and are missing class. They are expected to learn from home. This means that they are not able to participate in a regular classroom setting. Teachers try to help by recording videos of the lessons, but with videos, students can't ask questions. Teachers also try to help these students by Zooming class or having Teams meetings during class. Unfortunately with desktop and laptop computers, teachers are tied to the computer and not able to walk around easily to help the in class students. Either the at home students or in class students are ignored. With a Surface Pro a teacher can hold it and walk around helping both groups of students. This will help with all Nevada Academic Content Standards in Mathematics. The Standards expect students to used appropriate tools. This includes the use of technology to solve problems and model mathematics. Students and teachers will be able to use this technology to graph, solve, and model mathematics. There is no one specific math standard this will address, it addresses them all.
